Overview
In the first of 3 in a row with the Phoenix Coyotes, the Anaheim Ducks didn’t have enough gas in them to get the win secured in their pockets. They had to play the night before in Anaheim, fly to Phoenix, and play less than 24 hours later. Yet somehow managed to hang in the game long enough to squeak a point out of the game, so it wasn’t a total loss. Man of the night for Anaheim was Andrew Cogliano who joined Kyle Palmieri (who ended up leaving in the 1st period due to an upper body injury, more on that later) in the natural hat trick club. His hat trick and Saku Koivu‘s goal wouldn’t be enough to secure 2 points, but with all the odds stacked against them, I can’t say I blame them. They get a chance tomorrow night to redeem themselves and their dominance. I can’t wait.

Ryan said “It’s a loss. There’s no way around it. I think this is a group that feels like we let a point get away because of all the amount of times they can come from behind. I think we [were] looking & feeling as tired as we’ve been all year. That happens when you’re coming off 5 in 7.”
Bruce Boudreau said “You want to be greedy and you want two points every chance you can get. I think the last 10 minutes they [Coyotes] were the better team.”
Bruce on Palmieri “Palmieri (upper body) is day to day. I think he should be fine. The team will rest tomorrow (today) and we’ll see him on Monday.
